Community Management hosts food drive

Community Management recently hosted its first annual Community Food Drive to benefit the Greater Baton Rouge Food Bank. Community Management employees and volunteers drove through 32 subdivisions, townhomes, and condominiums all located in the greater Baton Rouge area. A total of seven vehicles and 16 volunteers and employees picked up donations that residents dropped at the street. In coordination with the drop off process, the Louisiana Patriots Gold U-18 elite girls softball team volunteered their time to sort and organize the food as Community Management delivered to the Food Bank.Wyatt Graves, owner of Community Management, said, “the food drive was a great success and a great starting point for us as a company to become more involved with the communities we manage and the Greater Baton Rouge Area.”Community Management donated 2,200 pounds of food consisting of canned vegetables, dried pastas, canned soups, cereals, and dried snacks.Ken Barden, Sales Manager of Community Management, said, “we will continue to strive to make this the largest food drive in Baton Rouge. We are making every effort to address the Food Bank’s shortage and in enough time for Thanksgiving. This time next year we are going to strive for 10,000 lbs of donated food!”Community Management was founded in 2007 by Wyatt Graves, Scott Quirk, Scott Belgard, and Jeff Harman to improve the functions of community associations.
