BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- A 16-year-old Woodlawn High School student is recovering from minor injuries after he set his own shirt on fire Monday morning.
The East Baton Rouge Sheriff's Office say the school Drug Task Force were called to Woodlawn High School Monday morning for a narcotics investigation. Before they got to the school, the student ran away from the school.
He later returned and had a conversation with his mother in the parking lot of the school. The suspect ran off again and suddenly lit his shirt on fire.
He was immediately sprayed with a fire extinguisher and taken to the hospital for non-life threatening injuries. The student may be charged with possession of marijuana.
The investigation is ongoing.
