BRPD: 7 arrested for DWI during checkpoint | News

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- Police have
released the results of a sobriety checkpoint from Thursday night.

The Baton
Rouge Police Department reported seven people were arrested for DWI during a
checkpoint that was set up in the 7200 block of Corporate Boulevard.

Cpl. L'Jean
McKneely added 23 traffic citations were issued and there were other types of
arrests. The other arrests included:

Possession
of marijuana (2)

Open
container in a vehicle (1)

Interfering
with an officer (1)

Disturbing
the peace by intoxication (1)

Resisting
an officer (1)

Police did not release the names of those arrested.

A total of
219 vehicles passed through the checkpoint.
