Gautreaux sworn in as EBR Parish Sheriff for second term
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- The top
brass in East Baton Rouge was sworn in Thursday, for his second term.
Sheriff
Sid Gautreaux took the oath of office in front of family, friends and several
deputies. He says since he has been sheriff, violent crimes in the parish have
dropped by 42 percent and homicides are down.
He says
while they are clearing the criminals off the streets, it takes more than
police work to solve cases.
"Things
are not going to get better overnight, and not going to get better if we don't
all do our part," said Gautreaux.
