Police name suspected triggerman in deadly shooting | News

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- Police have
obtained an arrest warrant for a teen they believe shot another teen to death
over the weekend.
The Baton
Rouge Police Department reported Chattley Chesterfield, 17, is wanted for
first-degree murder in the shooting death of Jordan Key, 18.
Key and a
surviving victim were shot in the 3000 block of College Drive early Saturday
morning.
Chesterfield
is 6'0" and weighs 150 pounds.
In addition
to murder, he faces charges of attempted first-degree murder and illegal use of
a dangerous weapon.
Michael
Francois, 23, the suspected getaway driver in the shooting, was arrested Sunday
morning.
Francois
was booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on charges of accessory to
first-degree murder and accessory to attempted murder.
According
to BRPD, officers were dispatched to the 4500 block of Rabey Street near
College Drive around 2:30 a.m. after reports of gunshots fired in that area.
After
arriving on the scene they were told a man had been shot and he left the area
in a vehicle. Officers were later told the car was on Perkins Road and South
Acadian Thruway.
When
they located the car they found Key dead inside and another man
who had suffered a gunshot wound that was not considered life-threatening.
There is no known motive for this shooting.
The
victim's family has set up a fund to help pay for funeral expenses. Donations
can be made at any Chase Bank to The Jordan Key Memorial Fund.
