Pedestrian hit by car while trying to cross Florida Blvd | News
BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- A 24-year-old man was injured after being hit by a car early Thursday morning.
It happened in the 8400 block of Florida Boulevard, which is between Wooddale Boulevard and Airline Highway, around 1 a.m.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said responding officers found Thomas Hayes lying in the roadway.
It is believed he was hit while trying to walk across Florida.
Police say Hayes was taken to the hospital is expected to fully recover from his injuries.
The driver of the car that struck Hayes was treated at the scene for minor injuries.
No citations were issued.
The crash is still being investigated.
