Man & woman found shot to death in apartment | News

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- Homicide detectives are investigating a double murder at an apartment complex Tuesday morning.

The Baton Rouge Police Department said a man and woman were found shot to death at the "Little Vegas" apartments in Baton Rouge a little before 8:30 a.m.

The apartments are located in the 1700 block of North Harco Drive.

Police said a neighbor found Colamecia McQuirter, 26, and her boyfriend, Joshua Moore, 24, dead inside their apartment. Baton Rouge Police say the couple was shot sometime overnight.

Authorities said a tipster reported hearing shots fired.

Detectives said they want to talk to a person who contacted them while they were on the scene.

"Shortly after we arrived on the scene police received a call from a witness," said Cpl. Thomas Stubbs with BRPD. "We'd like them to call us back because we'd really like to talk to them."

Relatives said the victims were a couple and had two children together.

Police said it does not appear to be murder-suicide.

They have not established a motive for the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
