66-year-old motorcyclist dies in crash | News

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- Police are investigating a motorcycle accident that resulted in the death of a 66-year-old man.
The Baton Rouge Police Department said Nicholas Albano crashed his 2007 Harley Davidson Sportster in the 13700 block of South Choctaw Drive around 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators said he veered off the road in a curve and went into a parking lot.
Police reported the motorcycle then hit a raised concrete barrier and Albano was thrown off.
They said he then hit another concrete barrier.
Authorities said he was taken to an area hospital, where he later died from his injuries.
They said he was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and neither alcohol nor speed appears to factor into the accident.
Detectives are still investigating the crash.
