Motorcyclist suffers life-threatening injuries in hit & run | News

BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB)- Police are investigating a hit and run crash that sent a badly injured motorcyclist to the hospital Wednesday night.
It happened in the 12000 block of Old Hammond Highway a little after 10 p.m.
According to the Baton Rouge Police Department, officers rolled up on the scene to find a 30-year-old man lying in the roadway.
His name was not released.
Detectives said witnesses told them the victim's 2006 Yamaha scooter motorcycle was rear-ended an SUV.
Authorities said the driver of the orange Saturn SUV then left the scene.
The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
His exact condition was not given.
The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
