Award-Winning Cinema Costumes Coming to LASM

BATON ROUGE, LA — Costumes worn by Hollywood's hottest stars are coming to Louisiana Art & Science Museum (LASM), and you can be one of the first to see them on Thursday, May 5, during LASM's First CUT! Opening Night Premiere.

CUT! Costume and the Cinema, a major touring exhibition of 43 exquisitely made movie costumes and accessories, opens to the public Saturday, May 7. More than 30 stars, including Johnny Depp, Ralph Fiennes, Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet, and Vanessa Redgrave, wore the exhibited costumes in 25 period films, including Pirates of the Caribbean, Sherlock Holmes, The Duchess, The Phantom of the Opera, and Sense and Sensibility.

Nat'l. Tailgaiting League bringing ultimate tailgating party to LSU

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The National Tailgating League will make the fifth stop of its multi-city College Tour at Baton Rouge Louisiana on Friday, November 19th, prior to the conference match-up between the LSU tigers and the visiting Ole Miss Rebels. The NTL will set up at Reggie’s Bar in Tigerland with multiple cash-prize bag toss tournaments, live music, food vendors, and your favorite radio personalities.

St. George firefighters go PINK for breast cancer

BATON ROUGE, LA – The St. George Firefighters are sounding the alarm and working to extinguish breast cancer with Woman's Hospital! Beginning October 24 – 30, all St. George stations will trade in their familiar blue uniforms for PINK t-shirts that proclaims "Cares Enough to Wear Pink."
